Trump passed an executive order called the “1776 Commission” which will ban schools from teaching about the slave trade. Under this order, teachers can be fined or jailed for teaching about it.
He claims it’s “patriotic education” and that America was not founded on oppression but this is a fucking lie, it is a LIE. This is brainwashing, this is whitewashing, this is Nazi shit.

There are 2 options now.
1. Congress manages to pass a bill in a 2/3 majority to override the order. I say 2/3 because we all know he’s gonna veto it.
2. The Supreme Court declares the order unconstitutional. If a Supreme Court Justice is nominated before the election, this will almost certainly not happen.
Please please please I am begging you, spread awareness of this, call your senators, call your representatives, beg them to fight this, beg them to postpone a vote until after the election
